Serial Entrepreneur Seeks to Bring Sustainable Data Centers to Africa

Executive Summary

Cubed Data Enterprises Inc. seeks to provide digital infrastructure through sustainable energy sources in global spaces.

Challenge

This company has graduated from several notable business incubators and accelerators. The founder of Cubed Data Enterprises Inc., Pima Mbwana, is a serial entrepreneur affiliated with successful companies. The company now seeks to identify partners and investors to fund and assist with a feasibility study.

Analysis:

An early review of the financials, pitch deck, and other materials provided context to how viable this enterprise could be and identified next steps.

Recommendations:

1. Identify resources to develop a feasibility study first. That exercise can inform additional phases of funding.

2. Identify partners familiar with the region where the business will provide services to ensure the proposed service is in alignment with local capabilities and resources.

Update: Cubed Data Enterprises inc. is now moving into the funding phase.

Behind the Graph Serves as Community Partner for Elevate 2024 National BPIA Week

We were honored to serve as a Community Partner as The International Association of Black Professionals in International Affairs (BPIA) celebrates 35 years of service in September.  BPIA  is a 501c3 nonprofit organization founded in 1989 on a mission to increase the involvement of African-Americans and those of African descent in international affairs.

We were invited to provide our insights on "Protecting Your Ideas During the Customer Discovery Phase" to young tech entrepreneurs participating in the TechREMIXed Hackathon hosted by LaKisha Greenwade, Founder and CEO of Wearable Tech Ventures. 

Wearable Tech Ventures is a Global Ecosystem dedicated to the development and promotion wearables. Their goal is to assist 100 wearable startups by 2030 led by traditionally under-resourced and underrepresented founders. 

Behind the Graph, Tech Leader & State Government Collaborate to Identify Opportunities in New Markets

Executive Summary:

A State Government partnering with a technology entrepreneur needs to identify potential buyers for a commodity in new markets due to potential trade restrictions.

Challenge:

Introductions are needed to identify potential buyers, assess needs and gain a better understanding of a potential new market.

Analysis:

Research into this market revealed a burgeoning industry with an ample supply of commodities. A meeting arranged between the parties provided a better understanding of the market, and an opportunity to ask questions, and explore approaches to identifying potential buyers in other key markets.

Recommendations:

1. Additional research of the industry to understand trends related to sustainability, growth, and competitors.

2. Identify markets of interests.

3. Identify potential buyers in those markets.

4. Build relationships with those potential buyers.
